We undertake large home and office removals in and around Hampton Court and smaller moves, if required with our Man & Van service. If you already live in or around Hampton Court, the following is unlikely to be news to you, but if you are moving to the area you may find some of this of interest.
Hampton Court is just over a bridge across the River Thames from Molesey. The bridge was opened in 1933 by the Prince of Wales, who later became King Edward VIII. The bridge replaced a wrought-iron bridge, which also served as a toll bridge until tolls were abolished in 1876 and is depicted in a painting “The Bridge at Hampton Court” by Alfred Sisley, the French Impressionist artist.
From Hampton Court station, it’s a short walk to the bridge and Hampton Court Palace on the opposite side of the river.
While there are not many homes in Hampton Court, there is plenty to see and do there even if you don’t visit the Palace. The Kings Arms Hotel is a traditional pub with a historic feel, it’s perfect for enjoying a pint in a charming environment. Their garden area is particularly pleasant during the summer, while The Albany, overlooking the Thames, provides a scenic spot for a drink.
Slightly further away on the way to Hampton you can find David Garrick’s, the renowned 18th-century actor and playwright, Temple to Shakespeare, constructed as a tribute to William Shakespeare, whom Garrick greatly admired to house his collection of Shakspearian artifacts.
