Hersham Removals

We undertake removals in and around Hersham as well as East and West Molesey. These include house, flat and office removals as well as small Man & Van removals for clients requiring a smaller service.

If you are new to the area, we have written a few lines about Hersham and its history that you might find useful.

Hersham Green, is the nucleus of the village of Hersham, and is a three and a half acre open space where regular events take place throughout the summer. Within a few minutes walk of the urban area of Hersham you’ll find green fields and meadows alongside the River Mole and footpaths by fields used for mixed farming.

Due to its proximity to London and Shepperton Studios, Hersham is frequently used as a film location for cinema and television productions.

Hersham is also home to Britain’s largest colony of parakeets near Esher Rugby Club.

Whiteley Village

This private retirement village with a percentage of accommodation available for disabled poor residents is set in a lightly undulating, elevated, wooded part of Hersham and was created from a bequest of £1m left by a London department store pioneer William Whiteley who ran his store in Queensway, London. Designed architecturally by Arts and Crafts movement-influenced architect Reginald Blomfield, it is owned by the Whiteley Homes Trust and is on land which was once part of Walton Firs and Walton Heath, before the parish of Hersham was created in the 19th century.

Famous Residents of Hersham

  • Gordon Mills, Tom Jones’s manager lived here.
  • Julie Andrews (born in Walton on Thames) speaks about her early days in Hersham in her book “Home”.
  • Jimmy Pursey, founder of punk rock band Sham 69 that was formed in Hersham in 1976. The band was one of the most successful punk bands in the United Kingdom, achieving five Top 20 singles.

You may find it worthwhile looking at the website of the Hersham Residents Association, and perhaps joining them. They also have a Twitter account that would enable you to keep up with what is happening locally.

Hersham is served by Ham Railway Station with a minimum of two trains per hour and differing types of services on the London Waterloo South West Main Line.

"Just a few lines to pass on my thanks to the boys for the great job they did in moving my Furniture They arrived spot on time, and as my apartment was on a top floor, everything had to be transported via a very small lift. The boys did everything with a smile, and I will not hesitate to use your company again, and have already recommended you to various friends.”
